Who develops Noida?
The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA), set up in 1976 under the UP Industrial Area Development Act, 1976. It plans the city and allots its land through its own schemes. Greater Noida next door is a separate authority, GNIDA.
Which district is Noida in?
Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. NOIDA says its development area covers about 20,316 hectares across 81 villages of the district, bounded by the NH-24 bypass to the north, the Hindon to the east and the Yamuna to the west.
Can I buy a residential plot from NOIDA now?
Not on 27-09-2026. NOIDA's own Live Land Allotment Scheme page says 'Residential scheme - No scheme available'. Everything it has sold in 2026 - industrial, commercial, institutional and group housing plots, and five flats - is listed below with its status.
Is Noida the same as Greater Noida?
No. Both are in Gautam Buddh Nagar, but Noida is NOIDA's and Greater Noida is GNIDA's. Their sectors, schemes and rates are separate.
