The Lucknow Development Authority is a Uttar Pradesh development authority constituted under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973. It is responsible for planned development, land acquisition and infrastructure in Lucknow and the urban area around it.
How LDA allots
Oversubscribed plot and flat schemes go to a computerised draw of lots, premium commercial and residential property goes to e-auction through the authority's registration portal, and some categories are taken first-come-first-served. In a draw scheme the plot number is assigned at random, so an applicant cannot choose a particular plot.
LDA reopens plot registration periodically and runs e-auctions on a separate rhythm, with auction slots recorded roughly every one to two months in its own e-auction calendar.
Where LDA is, and how to reach it
Researched from the authority's own pages, not transcribed from a scheme document. An office holder changes without notice and a page can be out of date the day after it is read, which is why each row says when it was read. Verify before you travel.

1 sheet no locality page of its own yetWhat buyers get wrong with LDA
- A draw scheme and an e-auction running at the same time have different deadline structures. The EMD date and the later auction or draw date are not the same thing.
- Plot numbers in a draw scheme are assigned at random after the draw, so the specific plot is not known at the time of applying.
- Some scheme localities on the outer corridors are considerably further from central Lucknow than the scheme name suggests.
