The Delhi Development Authority is a statutory body constituted under the Delhi Development Act, 1957 and established on 30 December 1957. It plans, develops and disposes of land and housing across the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
How DDA allots
DDA uses more than one method at the same time. Some schemes are first-come-first-served, some are e-auctions decided on the highest bid, and oversubscribed housing registrations have historically gone to a draw of lots. Which one applies changes the deadline that matters and whether your money comes back, so it has to be checked scheme by scheme.
There is no fixed annual calendar. DDA launches named schemes periodically and extends their deadlines by circular, so a closing date seen in an advertisement is not always the final one.
Where DDA is, and how to reach it
Researched from the authority's own pages, not transcribed from a scheme document. An office holder changes without notice and a page can be out of date the day after it is read, which is why each row says when it was read. Verify before you travel.

- DDA has historically allotted flats on a leasehold basis, with conversion to freehold a separate application made after allotment. The schemes on record here are stated as freehold in DDA's own documents, so tenure is a thing to read in the brochure for the specific scheme rather than assume from the authority.
- Booking money under a first-come-first-served scheme has been stated as non-refundable, unlike the fully refundable registration money used in the older lottery schemes.
- Two DDA schemes running at once can use different allotment methods, which makes the registration deadline and the allotment date easy to confuse.
Questions people ask about DDA
How does DDA allot plots and flats?
DDA uses more than one method at the same time. Some schemes are first-come-first-served, some are e-auctions decided on the highest bid, and oversubscribed housing registrations have historically gone to a draw of lots. Which one applies changes the deadline that matters and whether your money comes back, so it has to be checked scheme by scheme.
Is any DDA scheme open right now?
Yes. 3 DDA schemes are open for registration. The dates and the amount payable are on each scheme page.
What does it cost to apply to a DDA scheme?
DDA has charged a registration or processing fee of ₹2,500 on the schemes listed here. The fee is separate from the EMD or booking amount, and each scheme page carries the figure as DDA published it.
What do you pay before bidding in a DDA scheme?
On the schemes here DDA states the deposit as: Fixed slab by category; No EMD. A booking amount is paid per category and adjusted against the price; None. A published price, first come first served, with no bidding.
How is a DDA allotment paid for?
On the 2026 Nagrik Awaas Yojana the registration fee was Rs 2,500 and non-refundable, with a booking amount that varied by category from Rs 50,000 for EWS up to Rs 10 lakh for HIG, also stated as non-refundable.
Can I apply for a DDA scheme on this site?
No. Registration, payment and bidding all happen on DDA's own portal at https://eservices.dda.org.in. This page exists so a scheme is found before its deadline, and every figure links back to the document it came from.
