Group housing plot

A plot sold to build apartment blocks, usually by auction to a developer or society. The buyer is a builder rather than a family, and the sizes and the money are on a different scale from a flat or a residential plot. YEIDA's GH-12/2026 round put ten plots to e-auction in Sectors 17, 18, 20 and 22D of YEIDA City, with earnest money at 10 per cent of each plot's total premium - which YEIDA prints per plot, from ₹6.89 crore to ₹30.27 crore - and a brochure and processing fee of ₹5,00,000. NBCC sells them one at a time on the same model: its GH02 plot at Ved Vyas Puri, Meerut is a single plot sold as is where is, with NBCC building nothing on it. Tenure differs too - YEIDA's are leasehold, NBCC's Meerut plot is freehold.

Bidding is usually restricted rather than open: YEIDA tests each bidder's financial and technical eligibility first and only the names it publishes may bid.

Anything else about group housing plot?

A group housing plot is land, not a home. Whatever flats appear on it are built and sold later by whoever wins it, on that builder's terms and not the authority's.
