- Instalments paid late carry interest at ten per cent on the delayed period, separately.
- On commercial property, 18 per cent GST is payable separately on the premium, on the delay interest and on the ground rent.
- Fail to pay within the time limit and JDA may cancel the allotment, returning the premium less the deductions its rules allow, without interest - and no claim for interest is admitted.
- Where the property sells for more than ₹50 lakh, one per cent TDS under section 194-IA is deducted from the highest offer, deposited with the income tax office, and a copy of Form 16A must be given to JDA.
- Unsuccessful bidders are refunded their earnest money directly to their bank account within 30 working days of the offers being opened; the application fee is not refunded.
