Magathane, Mumbai: MHADA colony and transit camp - nothing on offer right now

Magathane in Borivali East is a MHADA colony on the Mumbai Board's estate list and the site of two separate MHADA projects, both on its own transit camp land. The first, near the Tata Power station, is for 560 transit tenements of about 180 sq ft and 110 HIG tenements of about 699 sq ft; MHADA records 352 of the transit tenements as completed and handed to its Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board, with 248 transit and all 110 HIG still under construction. The second, at Old Magathane, redevelops the existing transit camp into 554 tenements - 124 transit and EWS in two seven-storey buildings, 86 EWS in a 22-storey building and 344 MIG across further 22-storey buildings, from about 269 to 477 sq ft. MHADA's own note says Buildings 2AB and 3AB are completed and allotted, 1E is completed, 1CD is in progress, and 1AB has not begun because the Repairs Board has not vacated the transit tenements standing on that land. The HIG and MIG flats built here are the kind MHADA can put into a lottery; none has been advertised on this site's record.
