Bimbisar Nagar is a MHADA layout in Goregaon East, off the Western Express Highway. What MHADA itself has built there recently is not housing: its Bimbisarnagar Premises project is an 18-unit commercial and community building next to Transit Camp Building 13/B - four shops, a bank and an ATM on the ground floor, seven offices and a gymnasium on the first, and a library, a clinic, a community hall and a sports and welfare unit on the second. MHADA's own status line reads "work completed long back, OC awaited", so the occupancy certificate had still not come through when this was read. MHADA has separately approved a zero-FSI redevelopment for the same premises. The flats people search for in Bimbisar Nagar are owned privately and resold between owners; MHADA is not selling them.
