IE Barhi, Sonipat: HSIIDC industrial estate - nothing on offer right now

Barhi is one of HSIIDC's industrial estates - an estate, not an IMT, which in HSIIDC's own definition means it sits under 1,500 acres at any one place. It runs in three phases beside National Highway 1, about 4 km from Gannaur. The Directorate of MSME, Haryana puts the Apparel Park inside it at 332 acres with a register of 250 plots, from 9 above 4,050 sq m down to 76 of 450 sq m. HSIIDC's own revised layout drawing for Phase III gives that phase 646.86 acres, laid out as Sectors 18, 19, 22, 23 and 24 for industry and Sectors 14 to 17 for housing, with 277 industrial plots and 821 residential and resettlement plots, and the Mega Food Park in Sector 23. The Ministry of Food Processing Industries records that park as 44.34 leasable acres in 86 plots. The visible cluster is textiles - yarn, dyeing, washing and apparel processing - going by the units the Haryana Water Resources Authority names there. One thing a buyer should weigh: the Government of India's 2010-11 district profile showed Phase II with 246 of 249 plots allotted but only 65 units in production, a large gap between sold and built at that date; whether it has closed since is not published anywhere we have read. HSIIDC has nothing on offer at Barhi in the rounds it has advertised this year.
