Udyog Vihar, Gurugram: HSIIDC industrial estate - nothing on offer right now

Udyog Vihar is Gurugram's original industrial estate and it is on HSIIDC's own list of industrial estates, which caps an estate at 1,500 acres. It runs in six phases. The one official measurement we can find is a row in the Government of India's Gurgaon district profile reading "Udyog Vihar Gurgaon Ph I to VI Sector 18 & DIC": 334.39 hectares acquired and developed, 2,140 plots, 2,068 allotted, 72 vacant, current as of March 2011. Read that carefully - it bundles all six phases together with Sector 18 and the District Industries Centre, so it is not a clean figure for Udyog Vihar alone, and the 72 vacant plots are annotated in the source as under litigation. What sits there today, from the Haryana Water Resources Authority's own consent register, is garments and export houses, precision engineering, dehumidification equipment and software, spread across all six phases. There is no current HSIIDC allotment here: the estate was sold decades ago and changes hands between owners, not from the corporation. HSIIDC has not advertised anything at Udyog Vihar in the rounds it has published this year.
