Sarurpur, Faridabad: unauthorised industrial area - nothing on offer right now

Sarurpur is an industrial area in Faridabad that no government body developed, and anyone treating it as an HSIIDC or HSVP estate is making an expensive mistake. The Government of India's 2016 district profile lists Faridabad's eighteen industrial areas - Sectors 4, 5, 6, 13, 15A, 24, 25, 27A to 27D, 28, 31, 58, 59, 61, Pragati Vihar and IMT Faridabad - and Sarurpur is not among them. What it is instead is the first name on the state's own list of Faridabad's unauthorised industrial areas awaiting regularisation. The scale of that problem, as reported, is that about three quarters of Faridabad's roughly 25,000 units operate in non-conforming zones, and a survey found some 23 such clusters holding over 16,800 units. The consequences for a unit there are concrete: no loan facility, no pollution NOC, no licence, and no claim on roads, water or sewer connections. Units do operate and are addressable - the Haryana Water Resources Authority's register carries gali-numbered Sarurpur addresses of the kind an unplanned colony produces. There is now a route out: the Haryana Management of Civic Amenities and Infrastructure Deficient Areas Outside Municipal Area (Special Provisions) Amendment Act, 2025, notified in October 2025, lets at least fifty industrialists holding ten contiguous acres apply together through a portal, with punitive action suspended from the date they file. Faridabad is named as a town where this problem exists; Sarurpur is not named individually in the policy coverage we have read, so we cannot tell you it is covered - only that it is exactly the kind of area the Act addresses. Do not confuse Sarurpur with the government sectors near it: Sector 58 and Sector 59 are HSVP and HSIIDC land with published plot counts, and Sector 58 carries its own recorded stay on 7.40 hectares.
