IMT Faridabad is one of the six industrial model townships HSIIDC names as its own - in HSIIDC's definition an estate laid out over more than 1,500 acres. It sits in Faridabad district, the older industrial half of the Delhi border, where the Government of India's own district profile counts eighteen planned industrial areas around it.
